Description

VACANCY: Cyber Security Expert

Reporting to the Chief Technical Officer, the incumbent will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive security solutions for the network infrastructure, systems, and data. This includes identifying and mitigating security risks, establishing security policies and procedures, and training employees on best security practices, with coverage extending from Core Network Infrastructure to Customer Premises Equipment.

The role ensures that the Service Provider's Core Network (ISP, MPLS, and DWDM) and Access Nodes—including Fixed Broadband, Satellite, Microwave, Mobile Broadband, and Network Management Systems—are fully protected from cybersecurity threats. The focus is on maintaining optimal customer service experience and strengthening the overall organizational security posture. The incumbent will also engage with internal and external stakeholders, including key clients, partners, and vendors, to foster strong business relationships and continuously enhance the organization’s brand reputation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and maintain cybersecurity solutions for the overall network infrastructure and subsystems, ensuring robust protection against evolving threats.
  • Create and continuously update cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures, aligning with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Detect, investigate, and resolve cybersecurity incidents efficiently, minimizing potential impact on operations.
  • Maintain cybersecurity awareness programs and conduct training sessions to educate employees on security risks and best practices.
  • Perform regular security audits and reviews across the entire network infrastructure, including end devices, to ensure adherence to security standards.
  • Provide expert security support to internal and external stakeholders involved in service delivery, ensuring the protection of customer and client data.
  • Enforce security-related safety standards and procedures, ensuring compliance with HSAW policies and maintaining a secure work environment.
  • Implement and manage advanced security technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and endpoint security solutions.
  • Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and remediate security weaknesses.
  • Continuously monitor and analyze security events and incidents to detect and prevent malicious activity.
  • Lead investigations into security breaches, ensuring a thorough response and recovery process to safeguard the organization.
  • Develop and enforce security policies, best practices, and compliance standards (e.g., ISO, NIST), ensuring organizational alignment with regulations.
  • Take charge of critical incident response efforts, ensuring the swift recovery and prevention of future incidents.
Qualification & Professional Certifications:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • With valid certification in Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) or other relevant Cyber security professionals Certification or any other relevant recognized Cyber Security Certification
Technical Skills
  • Proficient in cybersecurity technologies (e.g., firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, SIEM solutions, VPNs).
  •  Strong knowledge of network security protocols and technologies.
  • Expertise in vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, and threat analysis.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation.
  • Experience with encryption, cryptography, and identity access management (IAM) tools.
  • Knowledge of cloud security best practices (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Work Experience
  • Typically, + years in cybersecurity with deep expertise in various security domains, architecture, and engineering.
  • Proven track record of managing and mitigating cybersecurity risks in complex environments.
  • Experience working with enterprise-level networks, service provider-level network managing security infrastructure (firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, endpoint security).
  • Previous experience conducting vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits.
  • Demonstrated expertise in incident response and managing large-scale security breaches or attacks.
  • Experience leading security projects or teams, including overseeing the implementation of security initiatives and controls.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity regulatory requirements and industry standards such as ISO , NIST, GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS in developing and implementing.
  • Experience in developing and enforcing security policies, standards, and frameworks.
  • Strong ability to analyze complex security challenges and provide innovative, scalable solutions.
  • Experience with forensic analysis and the ability to assess security incidents and breaches.
  • Proven ability to communicate technical issues clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience preparing detailed incident reports, risk assessments, and security recommendations for executive leadership.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and decision-making abilities.
