Front End-WordPress-Shopify Developer

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Front End-WordPress-Shopify Developer to join our IT team! You will be responsible for both back-end and front-end development, including creating WordPress themes and plugins.

We are expecting you to have a strong understanding of latest industry trends and content management systems.

Location: Karachi

Position: Full Time

Duties and Responsibilities

• Converting XD/PSD or any design file into a pixel-perfect Wordpress template (HTML , CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, JQuery)

• Creating and customization of WordPress Themes and Plugins.

• Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML)

• Optimizing the speed and performance of the website

• Troubleshooting issues

• Developing Custom Fields, Custom Post Type, and Custom Taxonomies

• Designing and implementing new features and functionality

• Establishing and guiding the website’s architecture

• Ensuring high-performance and availability, and managing all technical aspects of the CMS

• Helping formulate an effective, responsive design and turning it into a working theme and plugin.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Min - years of experience in similar field

• Bachelors/Masters in relevant discipline

• Exposure in Theme development is a must

• Knowledge of Core development would be a plus

• Good understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML , CSS , JavaScript, jQuery

• Experience building user interfaces for websites and/or web applications

• Experience designing and developing responsive design websites

• Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML)

• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools {{such as Git, SVN, and Mercurial}}

• Good understanding of PHP back-end development
