Role Overview
We are seeking a part-time UI Designer with strong Figma skills to collaborate on website mockups, layouts, and illustrations. In this role, you will translate client requirements into visually appealing, intuitive designs. You’ll work closely with our developers to ensure designs are effectively implemented while maintaining brand consistency and high usability standards.
We are looking for designers with practical design experience who dont just rely on AI tools.
Key Responsibilities
Design Website Mockups
Create wireframes, user flows, and high-fidelity mockups in Figma.
Present multiple design concepts and iterate based on feedback.
Layout & Illustration
Develop visually compelling layouts that align with project requirements.
Produce custom illustrations or graphics to enhance user interfaces and branding.
Collaboration
Work alongside developers to ensure design feasibility and technical requirements.
Communicate effectively with project managers and stakeholders to gather feedback.
Brand Consistency
Maintain and refine style guides, ensuring typography, color, and overall design elements align with brand guidelines.
Required Skills & Experience
Figma Expertise: Proficient in creating, organizing, and iterating designs.
Proven Portfolio: Strong examples of website layouts, UI components, and illustrations (please provide a link).
Visual Design Principles: Knowledge of color theory, typography, spacing, and layout.
Web Design Best Practices: Basic understanding of responsive and accessible design.
Communication & Collaboration: Comfortable giving/receiving feedback and working in a remote setup.
Nice-to-Have
Experience with user research or UX methods (e.g., persona creation, user flows).
Familiarity with Illustrator, Photoshop, or other design tools for complex illustrations.
Basic HTML/CSS knowledge (to better collaborate with developers).
