Description
We are seeking a junior Database Administrator (DBA) with - years of experience in Microsoft SQL Server. The ideal candidate will be responsible for database management, performance monitoring, and backup strategies. This role requires a strong foundation in SQL Server administration and a keen interest in optimizing database performance and security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of SQL Server databases (on-premises and cloud-based).
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot query optimization and indexing issues.
- Implement backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Manage user roles, permissions, and database security.
- Assist in database migrations, upgrades, and performance tuning activities.
- Write and optimize T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions.
- Work with developers to improve database structure and performance.
- Maintain database documentation and best practices.
Requirements:
- - years of experience as a SQL Server DBA.
- Strong knowledge of SQL Server ( , , or later).
- Experience with database backups, restores, and high availability configurations.
- Understanding of query optimization, indexing, and performance tuning.
- Familiarity with SQL Server security, roles, and permissions.
- Basic experience with SQL Server Agent, SSIS, and reporting tools.
- Knowledge of cloud databases (Azure SQL, AWS RDS) is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
