Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced PSX (Pakistan Stock Exchange) Day Trader to join our trading team. As a PSX Day Trader, you will be responsible for executing short-term trades in the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) market, capitalizing on intra-day price fluctuations. Your primary goal is to generate profits through quick, efficient decision-making and market analysis, while managing risk effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Execute day trades on the PSX in accordance with the firm's trading strategies and risk management protocols.
Analyze market trends, charts, and financial data to identify profitable trading opportunities.
Monitor news, corporate announcements, and global events that may impact PSX stocks.
Develop and apply technical and fundamental analysis to support buy and sell decisions.
Manage risk through position sizing, stop losses, and other risk management techniques.
Maintain a high level of discipline to follow the set trading plans and strategies.
Track and record all trades and provide regular updates on performance to senior management.
Stay up to date on PSX regulations, economic data, and sector-specific information.
Collaborate with other traders, analysts, and management to enhance trading strategies and performance.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in day trading, preferably in the PSX or other financial markets.
In-depth knowledge of PSX listed companies, market structure, and regulations.
Strong understanding of technical analysis, chart patterns, and indicators.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in trading platforms and tools used for analysis and trade execution.
Strong risk management mindset with the ability to control emotions under pressure.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Master's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field is preferred.
Additional certifications in trading or investment analysis are a plus.
Skills & Competencies:
Technical analysis proficiency (using tools such as TradingView, MetaTrader, or others).
Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment and make decisions swiftly.
Knowledge of financial products and market strategies.
Good communication skills for reporting and collaborating with the team.
