POSITION CODE: HRD-PC/TD-

REPORTING TO: Monitoring Officer
DEPARTMENT/PROGRAM: Maternal & Child health
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-Time Regular (Open-ended)
NUMBER OF POSITION(S):
LOCATION: Karachi, Pakistan

JOB PURPOSE
The incumbent will provide assistance to the program staff in developing performance monitoring plans and results frameworks during program design and implementation, creating monitoring systems, processes and tools, contributing to measuring, analyzing, and reporting results.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support staff members in setting up systems for program monitoring.
  • Assist with the design and development of forms and questionnaires for data collection and analysis.
  • Assist with data collection and analysis.
  • Assist with research and writing or editing.
  • Assist with data management and cleaning, and quality control.
  • Support the team through various administrative duties.
  • Support monitoring, inspection procedures.
  • Support the improvement of the logical framework.
  • Support the development of monitoring and impact indicator for the project success.
  • Provide feedback to the Monitoring officer on project strategies and activities.
  • Suggest strategies to the Project Management for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the project by identifying bottlenecks in completing project activities and developing plans to minimize or eliminate such bottlenecks.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and annual progress on all project activities.
  • Assist in coordinating across the available components of the Project to ensure effective implementation of monitoring.
  • Assist the project personnel with monitoring tools and in supporting them in their use.
  • Assist the Helpline Operator’s activities through various points including maintained call logs, and completeness of the information collected.
  • Prevent any form of theft by performing data triangulation, cross-checks, and validation through ZM-EIR and facility-based registers on a biweekly.
  • Prevent hacking of the disbursements back-end system by the MNO by performing data triangulation, and validation checks on a monthly basis.
  • Conduct daily phone-based verification surveys with the Helpline Operator.
  • Track all project inputs and activities the project timeline and protocol to minimize delays, develop alternative plans if needed, and address errors or lapses.
  • Conduct detailed investigations for incentives disbursed after hours.
  • Perform other duties as required.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES (KSA)

Required Qualification
Bachelors degree in Social Sciences, Public Health or related field

Required Experience
  • - years of experience in the design and implementation of M&E
  • Experience of working in public health/EPI or knowledge of the same will be strongly preferred
  • Experience in designing tools and strategies for data collection, analysis and production of reports
Required Skills
  • Proficiency in English, Urdu, and Sindhi
  • Ability to manage diverse activities and to meet deadlines required; flexibility to changing situations and priorities desired
  • Excellent data analytical skills
  • High organizational skills
  • Ability to oversee large-scale project implementation and unbiased review
